Three days in the woods with fifth graders has yielded, upon my return.......
fatigue
gratitude for fresh vegetables
sun-warmed cheeks
gratitude for the fact that I'm not eleven anymore
much laundry to be done
gratitude for red wine
a couple of minor blisters
gratitude for my own bed (one that doesn't smush and squeak when I move)
a dress code pass for tomorrow's school day
gratitude for my job and the fine, caring folks with whom I work
more fatigue which moves me to quickly draw this post to a close
gratitude for the long weekend that quickly approaches....
