MOLESKINE REVERIES, PART DOS

Eleventh of June...

Ray LaMontagne has been keeping me company out here in the lonesome, wind-whipping Texas desert. I was just sitting on the deck, watching the sky turn from hazy lilac to burned peach. The words he sings are coming to play, whirl about and leave their imprint on the open space in my heart. Beautifully timed, Ray. And God.

don't let your heart get heavy, child, inside you there's a strength that lies
don't let your soul get lonely, child, it's only time, it will go by
don't look for love in faces, places, it's in you, that's where you'll find kindness
be here
be here now
be here now
