LONG DISTANCES, 10 JUNE

This won't be a very long post, because I have quite a bit of unwinding to do. I'll let this picture do most of the talking. Just rest assured that I arrived safely on trusty ol' Amtrak in teeny Alpine, that the rental car exchange was a breeze, that I gave a girl from Switzerland named Alice a lift into Marfa, that she gave me a Swiss Army knife that turns into a pen and a flashlight to thank me, that I bought a sixer of Lone Star brew and a lime, that my poblanos and avocadoes are poised and ready for breakfast, that my trailer's windows are each and every one of them open and breezing out the place (no A/C), and that the birds are noisily welcoming me to this charming spot in the middle of a place called nowhere, and that I'm right happy.
